<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: justify;">I've been to Singapore many times but was only able to try this on my last visit. It was de-li-cious! I wasn't feeling well on the first three days of my vacation, but this little number did the trick. The place was designed like an old street restaurant. I fancy simple places like this. It feels homey.</span>
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: justify;"><br /></span>
<img alt="Picture" src="http://annazing.weebly.com/uploads/2/8/2/3/28232703/1399351241.jpg" /><br />

<br />
<img alt="Picture" src="http://annazing.weebly.com/uploads/2/8/2/3/28232703/1399352092.jpg" /><br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: justify;">The service was quick and easy. Each table had drawers and each drawer served a purpose. Drawers would have a tablet where you can choose the food you want to eat. This is how you order. Other drawers would have utensils to use. Not even 10 minutes of sending it in, our food was served. :-D</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: justify;"><br /></span>
<img alt="Picture" src="http://annazing.weebly.com/uploads/2/8/2/3/28232703/1399352127.jpg" /><br />

<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">The first thing we ordered was the </span><strong style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Bak Kut Teh</strong><span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">. I wasn't feeling well and my body was rejecting the food that I was trying to eat half way through swallowing. This was the first food that my body happily accepted. The best part was that the lady kept giving us free broth. :-D</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;"><br /></span>

<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">The rest of the food on the table were free appetizers. This included the warm tasty bread and the usual peanuts with sauce.</span><br />

I'm not a big eater, and I tend to eat little food at least every 2-3 hours a day. It's very rare that I eat a heavy meal and follow the 5 hour rule. Everyone has a unique metabolism. </span></div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: left;">

<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: left;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: left;">So why coffee and cheese for breakfast? Because it's delicious. Ha! Kidding aside, I think everyone should know the pros and cons of the food they eat. So here it is:</span></div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: left;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a; text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strong>The pros and cons of CAFFEINE:</strong><br />
1. Caffeine increases memory. (<a href="http://www.caffeineinformer.com/bad-memory-drink-more-caffeine" style="color: #5199a8; text-decoration: none;" target="_blank" title="">Read</a>)<br />
2. Caffeine mixed with carbs replenishes muscle glycogen concentrations faster after exercise. Note that this benefit is highly leaning on the people with an athletic side. (<a href="http://www.caffeineinformer.com/caffeine-great-for-athletes" style="color: #5199a8; text-decoration: none;" target="_blank" title="">Read</a>)<br />
3. Caffeine relieves post-workout muscle pain by upto 48% (<a href="http://www.caffeineinformer.com/caffeine-reduces-muscle-pain" style="color: #5199a8; text-decoration: none;" target="_blank" title="">Read</a>)<br />
4. Caffeine can ease depression by increasing dopamine in the brain.<br />
5. Caffeine can cause nervousness and restlessness.<br />
6. Caffeine can cause stomach pains.<br />
7. Caffeine can cause rapid heartbeat.<br />
8. Caffeine can cause muscle tremors and irritability.<br />
<br />
I for one love coffee, and can seriously get pissed off if I don't get to drink it everyday. However, making sure that I only drink one cup a day makes it a healthy part of my diet. Note that there are a lot of food and drinks that contain caffeine. I always make sure that my intake of caffeine is at a minimal to avoid any side effects. Too much good can sometimes be bad.<br />
<br />
<strong>The pros and cons of DAIRY: </strong><br />
1. Intake of dairy can help improve bone health and reduce the risk of osteoporosis.<br />
2. Dairy can reduce risk of cardiovascular disease.<br />
3. Dairy is high in calcium.<br />
4. Dairy can help reduce high blood pressure.<br />
5. Dairy products can be high in fat and dietary cholesterol.<br />
6. Dairy can cause some problems in digestion for some people.<br />
7. Dairy has been known to be associated with respiratory distress/allergies such as wheezing, swelling of the air way, coughing, sneezing, asthma attacks.<br />
<br />
All in all dairy to me, is just another way of turning my mood good. I can vouch that dairy has a small yet consistent part in my diet. I do find that more intake of dairy products cause some problems on skin. I don't necessarily know why, but I've experimented a lot in eating different types of food, minimal and excessive to see which causes what. I highly suggest that anyone should give a lot of thought in experimenting with food and its effects. Not everyone has a high tolerance in balancing body chemistry. A doctor's advice is still better than just doing it yourself (unless you're a food genius.)</div>

<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">For a while now I've been craving for barbecue sauce. One night, I was too tired to go to the market and figured meh, I should just make one. So here it came, the simplest way to make homemade barbecue sauce.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<strong style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">What you will need:</strong><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">2 tbsp of ketchup</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">1 tbsp of vinegar</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">1/2 tbsp of water</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">2 tbsp of light brown sugar</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<strong style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">What you'll do:</strong><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Mix all the ingredients over low heat until satisfied with the texture. The longer you mix this over low heat, the stickier the texture gets. </span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Good luck!</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;"><br /></span>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">We don't usually go out on family dinners nor do we eat all together at home. Eating together is a rare occasion in my family. We all have different schedules so timing is hard to come by.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Last night my</span><a href="http://wackylicious.com/" style="background-color: white; color: #5199a8; text-decoration: none;" title=""> </a><span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">brother decided to treat us all to dinner. We went to </span><strong style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Johnny Chow</strong><span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;"> to feast! I've never eaten in Johnny Chow before, so I'm gonna write about it.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Honestly when I passed by this restaurant before, what came to my mind was alcohol. The first thing I saw were blue lights and what looked to be a mini bar. I had to look twice to see that this was actually Asian Cuisine.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">When I entered, I looked around and a lot of things called my attention. A floral lamp with a blue base, faces posted behind chairs. A total mixture of different Asian and modern aspects. All in all, me like.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Male Waiters wore black uniforms while the female waiters were like </span><strong style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Nicki Minaj -</strong><span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;"> Asian style. They all had wigs of different colors.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">We were served with cold lemon water while we waited for our food. Although I appreciated it, I would have loved to have been given a choice if I wanted warm water, or house tea. Some people don't drink cold water.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">I felt a bit off with the service because the table after us got their food at least 10 minutes before we did. </span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">We ordered these:</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">I am amused with the playfulness of the menu. :) Food presentation was all good for dinner. Mommy wasn't a big fan of the shrimp. According to her, it didn't taste fresh. The salad was also served with the sauce already poured in, and may have stayed in the counter for a while, which made the vegetables a wee bit saggy. Taste wise, this dish was okay.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Okay, seriously Chuck Norris? haha. I loved this dish. Taste, texture, flavor = YUMM! Wish I could've eaten more.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">This dish was good too, but it tasted ordinary.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">The only thing I can say I didn't like at all, was the constant running and bumping into chairs of so many servers. It's as if they were all in a state of panic , running around like crazy kids while dangerously holding hot food that might spill over anyone. You can see others walking around but not exactly accomplishing anything.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Johnny Chow needs improvement on their servers training. Customers do not appreciate having dinner feeling like "Oops. It's time for one of the servers to fall!"</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Aside from the chaos of running, dinner was nice. I would recommend </span><strong style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">Johnny Chow</strong><span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;"> to any one of my friends.</span><br />
<br style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;" />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #2a2a2a;">I'm giving the restaurant as a whole:</span><br />
